This is the complete set of Ibn Kathir Tafsir. It consists of the 30 parts of the Qur'an. Our aim in presenting the tafsir of the entire 30 parts of the Qur'an is to gather in one place, for the Arabic-speaking and English-speaking public, all relevant information needed to make the Qur'an more understandable and easier to study. The major features of these 30 tafsir books are:

1. they provide the Arabic Text for those who are able to read the Arabic Language. They also contain the full Arabic text of each part (Juz') so that the reader can read it as he/she would do with any copy of the Arabic Qur'an in the original Arabic language. So each book is one-tenth of the Qur'an as well as the tafsir of that one-tenth;

2. they give the transliteration of the Arabic text for those who cannot yet read the Arabic script. This will give them a sample of the sound of the Qur'an and its Devine revelation, which they could not otherwise comprehend from merely reading the English meaning;

3. they present a rendition of the meaning of the qur'an as provided in English by Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali, Ph.D. and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan;

4. they contain background introductions regarding the revelation of every chapter of the Qur'an (provided by two famous Islamic scholars, Maududi and Ibn Kathir);

5. The Qur'an is devided into thirty parts to enable completion of its reading in thirty days. Each of these books entitled Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Explanation of the Qur'an) contains one part of the Abridged translation of the original Arabic work, produced by a group of scholars under the supervision of Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (may Allah reward them for their efforts).
